It is always my pleasure to listen to the excellent performance of the Prague Viola Duo. It almost doesn´t happen that some recording of my music makes me as happy as their recording of "Dialogues for two violas".

Founded in 2011 by two young Czech musicians Tomáš Hanousek and Jakub Macháček, the PRAGUE VIOLA DUO is the only one Europian chamber ensemble offering really extraordinary combination of two violas. Their repertoire consists of classical music from baroque up to contemporary works dedicated to them. They also play arrangements of popular music and film melodies. 
The Prague Viola Duo performed at festivals and concerts series and recieved several awards. Since 2015, both members live in Denmark. They are currently studying post-graduate Soloist Class Degree at SDMK - Danish National Academy of Music Odense. Founded in 2011 by two young Czech musicians Tomáš Hanousek and Jakub Macháček, the PRAGUE VIOLA DUO is the only one Europian chamber ensemble offering really extraordinary combination of two violas. Their repertoire consists of classical music from baroque up to contemporary works dedicated to them. They also play arrangements of popular music and film melodies.

Their repertoire consists of classical music from baroque to contemporary works dedicated to them. They also play popular music and film melodies in their own arrangements.
The Prague Viola Duo succesfully performed at festivals and concerts series and recieved several awards. Since 2015, both members have studied postgraduate Soloist Class Degree at SDMK - Danish National Academy of Music.
The concert audience and music critiques appreciate that the ensemble is very compact, moreover, they laud the players´spontaneity and temperament, joyful playing and a huge range of moods and characteristics that can be heard in their interpretation.
